"m. Ruth Mapes (2 Dec 1771-alive 1835), daughter of Henry Mapes (2 Apr 1737-Mar 1823) and Ruth Ramsey,
on 10 Jan 1792
- had $600 in real property in Cheesecocks tax list 1801
- sold 154 acres and the family home he had inherited from his father on Rye Hill to
Lewis H. Roe on May 1, 1819 for $3862.50 -this land was apparently
included in the 350 acres that John K. Roe purchased for $7000 on 7 Oct 1847
from the other heirs of Lewis H. Roe after the latter died 
-on 25 January 1878 John K. and Elizabeth Roe lost, through legal foreclosure, the Galloway home and
235 acres bordering on Alexander McElroy's property (the land was on both sides
of West Mombasha Road -the site of the home, originally east of West Mombasha,
is now west of that road) -the parcel was sold by the court on April 11878 to
Charles Webb for $7910- he in turn sold it on 6 Jun 1919 to John R. and
Katherine Van Blarcom of Paterson, NJ for $1 (585: pp 13-15) -the Van Blarcoms
sold it to Arthur and Popkje Faber of Glenrock, NJ on 9 Feb 1937 for $10,000 -
their son Andrew Faber acquired all but 3 acres of the farm (2.57 of which went
to his brother Isaac and .5021 to his sister Minnie Ferrill) in a series of
small transfers in 1948, 1956, 1959, and 1961, and one large transaction of 22
Nov 1961 (1606: 489-90) 
-after 1819 Thomas Galloway lived near Lake Mombasa -
he resided with Sarah  and Charles Fitzgerald 1850
