On June 29, 1870 in the third ward of Adrian Township, Lenawee County, 
Michigan, page 97 you will find the family of James Galloway, age 33. He is 
listed as being born in New York, a carpenter with $300 as value of real 
estate and $100 in personal property. His wife Charlotte at age 32 and as 
keeping house, born in New York. Their son, Norman at the age 1, being born 
in Michigan.

In March of 1784 we find this family back in Wayne County, New York and the 
death of Charlotte. It would appear that Charlotte and her daughter died from 
complications of child berth. To date I have found no further information on 
James or Norman. James would have been only about 38 years old and with a 
five-year-old son, there is a good chance he remarried and moved away from 
Monroe County, N. Y. I can find no record of his burial in Wayne County.

There is some question about the middle name of James. Since his parents were 
James Duane and Harriet Springer Galloway. I think he was James Springer 
Galloway, not James Duane Galloway Jr.
